"Sun Come Undone" was released on March 13, 2007 on Birdnote Records.
Guitarist Casey Harvey had been pestering Rachel Tracy about forming a band for years. She finally relented in the summer of 2005, agreeing to play bass, and they recruited vocalist/guitarist Anna Conner during a pickup baseball game and drummer Matt Davis shortly thereafter. Having cut their teeth in the formative Baltimore all-ages indie scene of the mid-nineties, they were itching to make meaningful music again. Several practice sessions in, they realized there was real chemistry and Thrushes was born.

Tried to hard to make your call
I won’t push you too far
I won’t push you at all
Broken hearts, you broke my heart
Broken hearts won’t fix themselves
Did you notice
Broken hearts, you broke my heart
Broken hearts won’t fix themselves
Did you notice
I’m not doing all that well?
Did you miss me yet?
Did you miss me yet?
Did you miss me yet?
The lyrics to Thrushes's song Night Falls depict the pain of unrequited love and heartbreak. The singer laments their efforts to win over someone they care about, admitting that they tried too hard and ultimately failed. Despite their desire to pursue the object of their affection, they recognize the need to step back and avoid pushing too hard. The repeated refrain of "Broken hearts, you broke my heart" highlights the sense of betrayal and hurt that the singer feels. They express frustration with the fact that heartbreak cannot be easily mended and that they are not feeling like themselves as a result of the pain they are experiencing.
The lyrics are further complicated by the question posed in the final lines: "Did you miss me yet?" This suggests that the singer may still hold out hope for a reconciliation or that the relationship is not entirely over. The repetition of this question emphasizes the uncertainty and longing that the singer is feeling. The overall tone of the song is plaintive and melancholic, conveying the sense of loss and confusion that often accompanies heartbreak.
