Thundercat Lyrics
Young drifting light
Drift on by
Shine on me
Then pass me by
Pour me out
Then leave me cold
And when I die
Into your light
Uh uh uh
Uh uh uh
Uh uh uh

He is part of the new generation of jazz literate, hip-hop loving instrumentalists who can play beyond traditional limits - a mutant jazz cat - and that’s how 'Thundercat' (a monicker he chose), suits him well (even if it’s purely the result of an unhealthy cartoon addiction dating back to childhood).

I've only recently discovered Thundercat. I've been so blown away by his vocals, bass, and ability to craft incredibly beautiful and catchy melodies that I haven't paid much attention to the keyboard guy. But man, that layering and those arpeggios are really masterful--perfect for this song and they really add so much color. And the drummer rocks it as well. A talented group of guys, no doubt.
