Ravenscroft was also the vocalist of the song "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch" in the Christmas television special based on the Dr. Seuss classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, although his name was accidentally left off of the credits, leading many to believe (erroneously) that the cartoon's narrator, Boris Karloff, sang the song. He also sang "No Dogs Allowed" in the Peanuts animated motion picture Snoopy Come Home.
His voice is also heard in many Disneyland and Walt Disney World attractions. He also provided narration on the original Pirates of the Caribbean vinyl recording, as well as singing several pirate-themed songs.

And the tombstones quake
Spooks come out for a singing wake
Happy haunts materialize
And begin to vocalize
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize
Now don't close your eyes
Or a silly spook may sit by your side
Shrouded in a daft disguise
They pretend to terrorize
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize
As the moon climbs high o'er dead oak tree
Spooks arrive for the midnight spree
Creepy creeps with eerie eyes
Start to shriek and harmonize
Grim grinning ghosts come out socialize
When you hear the knell of a requiem bell
Weird glows gleam where spirits dwell
Restles bones etherealize
Rise as spooks of every size
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize
Grim grinning ghosts come out
Grim grinning ghosts come out
To socialize
Thurl Ravenscroft's "Grim Grinning Ghosts" is a classic song from the Disney theme park attraction "The Haunted Mansion." The song is sung by a chorus of ghosts who are inviting the listener to join them in their eerie celebration. The opening lines set the scene - when the crypt doors creak and the tombstones quake, it's time for the spooks to come out for their singing wake. The ghosts are happy to see the listener and start to vocalize, singing the song's catchy chorus: "Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize."
The second verse warns the listener not to close their eyes or try to hide, as a silly spook may sit by their side. The ghosts are shrouded in silly disguises and pretend to terrorize the listener with their antics. The third verse describes the moon rising over a dead oak tree, signaling the arrival of more spooks for the midnight party. The ghosts with creepy eyes begin to shriek and harmonize, inviting the listener to join in their celebration.

Grim Grinning Ghosts
[GHOST HOST]
(Spoken)
When hinges creak in doorless chambers
And strange and frightening sounds
Echo through the halls
Whenever candle lights flicker
Where the air is deathly still
That is the time when ghosts are present
Practicing their terror with ghoulish delight
(Organ solo)

It's kind of a good song when you're not being forced to listen to it loop over and over because the ride broke down with you on it.

What I like about this ride is that it's both cheery and creepy
@ChadVanHalen5150
That's because there were two main designers on the ride, one wanted it more creepy and one wanted it more cheerful. After Walt died who would make a final decision one way or the other they said screw it, the ride will start creepy then get cheery
