A valóság kazamatái
Thy Catafalque Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Színtelen számokba menekülsz,
Számtalan színekbe menekülsz:
Az öszbe, a kodbe belevegyülsz.

Állat vagy, felnézel, menekülsz,
A valóság tüzel rad, menekülsz,
álomba álomból lemerülsz.
Messzire, messzire, messzire, messzire, messzire, messzire, messzire,

Messzire, messzire, messzire, messzire,
Messzire, messzire, messzire, messzire, messzire.

Overall Meaning

In Thy Catafalque's song A valóság kazamatái, the singer speaks to someone who is escaping reality by hiding in colorless numbers or countless colors. The escape is a futile attempt to avoid the truth, but in doing so, they fall deeper into the void. The singer describes this person as an animal who looks up and flees from reality, but reality only burns hotter in their mind, and they eventually become lost in a dream within a dream.

These lyrics suggest that escapism is not the answer to reality but only intensifies the problem. By hiding in numbers or colors, the person is attempting to dull the sharp edges of reality, but in doing so, they are only becoming more lost. The repeated use of "messzire" which means "far away" in English, suggests that this person has been running from reality for a long time, but the only direction they are going is farther away from the truth.
