He was voted World No. 1 DJ by DJ Magazine in its annual Top 100 DJs readership poll consecutively for three years from 2002 to 2004.
Just after releasing his second studio album Just Be he performed live at the 2004 Summer Olympics opening ceremony in Athens, the first DJ to play live on stage at an Olympics. Let’s all together
Cause when the sun goes down
On the empty streets
You’ve gotta hold tide
To watching me
Just dance for ever
Cause when the sun goes down
On the empty streets
You’ve gotta hold tide
To watching me
I’ve never seen you like this before
You run and shout and you’re screaming for more
You ask me how to open the door
When nobody has a key
I’ve never seen you like this before
You run and shout and you’re screaming for more
You ask me how to open the door
When nobody has a key
I’ll never seen you this before
You run and shout and you’re screaming for more
You ask me how to open the door
When nobody has a key
I’ll never seen you this before
You run and shout and you’re screaming for more
You ask me how to open the door
When nobody has a key
Cause when the sun goes down
On the empty streets
You’ve gotta hold tide
To watching me
Just dance for ever
Let’s all together
Just dance for ever
Let’s all together
Just dance for ever
Let’s all together
Cause when the sun goes down
On the empty streets
You’ve gotta hold tide
To watching me
The lyrics of “Make Some Noise” by Tiesto, Swanky Tunes, and Ben McInerney delve into the idea of living in a moment, letting loose, and indulging in the freedom of dancing. The song encourages to dance forever and all together, regardless of life’s challenges that might bring us down. With a pulsating beat and energetic vocals, it creates an atmosphere of euphoria and spontaneity. It paints a picture of a night where the streets are empty, and the only thing that matters is the music, the rhythm, and the wildness of dance.
The lines “You ask me how to open the door, When nobody has a key” can be interpreted as a metaphor for the limitation of one’s creativity and the search for ways to express oneself authentically. There is a sense of collective liberation in the song, with the crowds coming together to celebrate the power of music and the joy that dance brings. The repetition of “just dance forever, let’s all together” creates a sense of unity and belonging that is central to the human experience. The lyrics in “Make Some Noise” advocate for living in the moment and cherishing the freedom of being alive.
