Love Terrorists
Tiamat Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

The times they're a changing
All heavens shall fall
At the end of the day
They mean nothing at all
I hear the call for a revolution
And you're not part of our solution
I won't shut my mouth no more
My heart won't never be ignored -- like before
I never demonstrated
Always loved, never hated
It doesn't need to be debated
'Cause my hate was just belated -- but awaited
Can you hear me now?
On a 42-inch plasma screen I watch the tears of Jesus
Crying out all gods are dead and hacked into little pieces
Your empty words
Sway through the cirrus
At the end of the day
You've got nothing on us
We're approved by the weather Gods
And all the others share our blood
Though I don't even speak the languauge
I can surely feel the hellish - anguish
Go ahead and throw the first stone
And suck your kingdom to the bone
Keep on and criticize us
And awake the Gods on Olympus -- for us
Have no fear
Never care
Always dare
Never fail
We shall prevail
This is who we are

A conscious for war!
A conscious for war!

Overall Meaning

The lyrics in Tiamat's song Love Terrorists speak about revolution, rebellion, and standing up for oneself. The singer states that the times are changing and that all heavens shall fall, emphasizing that the world is shifting towards revolution. The singer rejects the idea of conforming to societal norms and being a part of the solution, and instead chooses to speak up and never be ignored again.

They challenge their detractors to throw the first stone and suck their kingdom to the bone, stating that they will keep criticizing and awaken the Gods on Olympus. The lyrics end with a strong message of never caring, always daring, and never failing, proclaiming their conscious for war and that they shall prevail.

Creo que Joahn es de los pocos artista que jamas se dejaron llevar por las tendencias y si por sus creencias y sentimientos...

1995 - 2018. I've spent 15 years of my life not knowing TIAMAT and 24 years of my life listening to them.
And I still love you like the bullet loves the gun.

@Zarthix Who knew this would end up as math comment, but here we go: the correct formula is MAX - MIN + 1, thus 2018 - 1995 + 1 = 24. If you don't believe me, try counting fingers on both of your hands (assuming you have ten of them) starting from some number i.e. 10, 11 etc., and tell me if you end up on 19 or 20. :)
I'm personally more astonished she got it right on the first go, as not that many people do!

Tiamat reminds me of enuma elish, the clasic struggle between good and evil. because deep down inside there is 2 armies one war. those who choose to fight and live good, and those who are enslaved by evil. Freedom of choice is the freedom to choose a side.
