The bridge or hook of the song is a bit confusing and open to interpretation. The singer is telling her lover that she is not spending time with him for profit, but he needs to be truthful with her. She is open to spoiling him with all the finer things if he is serious about her. However, if he is not truthful about his feelings, she will leave him alone. The final verse tells the lover that he cannot wait any longer to show her the love she desires. She has been patient and waits no more.
