Before she achieved success, she and her family were homeless and living in their van for five months. Later, she went on to compete in Star Search twice and received a perfect score in the junior division both times, at one point winning over Lisa Tucker, a finalist on Season 5 of American Idol. Evans was trained by vocal coach Sal Dupree, who also trained young singer Bianca Ryan, a future Star Search contestant and America's Got Talent winner.
Evans sang "Who Am I?" for the film Tarzan II and its soundtrack. She appeared in the movie Diary of a Mad Black Woman and appeared on its soundtrack as well. She is currently signed to Columbia Records and is working on an album, due November 2006. Tiffany Evans also has a single out called "Who I Am"

I didn't want you around
Those pretty faces always made you
Stand out in a crowd
But someone picked you from the bunch
One glance was all it took
Now it's much too late for me
To take second look
Oh baby give me one more chance
To show you that I love you
Won't you please send me back in your heart
Oh darlin' I was blind to let you go
But now since I see you in his arms
I want you back
Yes I do now
I want you back
Ooh ooh baby
Yeah yeah, naw
Trying to live without your love
Is one long sleepless night
Let me show you girl
That I know wrong from right
Every street you walk on
I leave tear stains on the ground
Following the girl
I didn't even want around
Oh baby give me one more chance
To show you that I love you
Won't you please send me back in your heart
Abuh buh buh buh
All I want!
Abuh buh buh buh
All I need!
Abuh buh buh buh
In Tiffany Evans's song I Want You Back, the lyrics suggest that the persona had taken for granted what was once theirs. They admit to not wanting the person around when they had them to themselves due to their attractiveness, but now that someone else has picked them, they want them back. The persona seems to be experiencing the realization that they have lost someone they truly loved and believed they would always have. They are confessing their mistake in leaving and accepting responsibility for their actions. They are pleading with the person to give them another chance to show them that they truly love them. The lyrics show the persona's remorse for not realizing how much they needed the person when they were around.
The song's lyrics can be considered a reference to Michael Jackson's hit song, "I Want You Back." The song was released in 2013 by Tiffany Evans as a lead single for her forthcoming and then untitled EP. The song's music video was directed by Ray Kay and features a solo Evans performing in front of a plain backdrop with graphics and animations highlighting the song's lyrics. "I Want You Back," an up-tempo, catchy tune with a pop and R&B sound, reflects Evans's growth as an artist and the musical direction she aimed to pursue.
