"James Joyce on drums" exclaimed David Byrne on seeing Adrian Huge at work with the Tiger Lillies. Adrian has worked in butchers, pie shops, banks, motorcycle shops, and as a ham-fisted-but-cheap car mechanic before co-founding, in 1982, Dover's only surreal, theatrical jazz/punk/calypso comedy ensemble : Uncle Lumpy and the Fish Doctors. The group floundered shortly after arriving in London in 1989 which coincided with the formation of The Tiger Lillies and the start of his bashing ever smaller, re-cycled drums, toys and kitchen-ware.
The man that once turned up to gig in the Czech Republic expecting to find a drum kit waiting for him only to discover a pile of freshly polished kitchen utensils instead. This did not deter him for a second as he went on to deliver an amazing performance that night armed only with pots, pans and spatulas. With his usual drum kit looking like a cross between a modern sculpture and a childrens toy shop its all in a days work for Adrian.

It's better than sex, I always come,
I like to stalk those I abuse,
I like them to struggle so I can refuse.
Murder is easy, murder is fun,
It's better than sex, I always come.
I like to go prowling on Saturday night,
Murder is easy, murder is fun,
It's better than sex, because I always come,
I've murdered so many I have lost count,
The pleasure it gives me is a large amount.
Murder is easy, murder is fun,
It's better than sex because I always come,
I murdered the vicar, I murdered his son,
Murdered his dad and I murdered his mum.
And I murdered, murdered, murdered, murdered
Cats, cats, cats as a boy,
Then I moved on to dogs, I moved on to dogs, I moved on to dogs
Dogs, dogs, dogs now it's the McCoy
Murder is easy, murder is fun,
It's better than sex because I always come,
Public opinion, it don't swell,
The consensus is I am unwell.
Murder is easy, murder is fun.
It's better than sex because I always come,
It's better than sex because I always come
It's better than sex because I always come
It's better than sex because I always come
I always come
The lyrics to the Tiger Lillies' song "Murder" are dark and disturbing, depicting the thoughts and actions of a serial killer. The singer describes their enjoyment of murder, comparing it to sex and claiming that they like to stalk and make their victims struggle before killing them. The repeated refrain of "murder is easy, murder is fun" emphasizes the singer's detachment from the gravity of their actions and the thrill they get from taking lives.
The lyrics also reveal the killer's history of violence, as they describe having murdered cats and dogs as a child before moving on to people. The killer seems to take pleasure in the act of killing and is unrepentant about their actions, even when faced with public condemnation for their crimes.
Overall, the lyrics of "Murder" are a chilling depiction of the mindset of a sociopath and a stark reminder of the darkness that can exist within the human psyche.
