3:30 In The Morning
Timbaland Lyrics

Oh
Well well well well mm
Oh ho oh oh oh ho oh
Mm mm uh uh
Oh yeah
Oh yeah yea

Tell me why you trippin' out on me mm
Every time I want to hang out
You get mad at me
Why can't I do the things that I like to do mm
Why can't you put your trust in me
Like I put my trust in you
Even if I'm

Even if I'm out till 3:30 in the morning
I won't talk to no one, I'ma tell 'em about my honey
Even if the guys try to tip me with their money
I'ma let 'em know I'm dedicated to my honey

Why you want to argue with me, all the time?
Even when I'm out with my girls
You be on my mind
Why can't you sit down
And understand
That no matter where I be, or where I am
I let them know that you're my man, you're my man

Even if I'm out till 3:30 in the morning
I won't talk to no one, I'ma tell 'em about my honey
Even if the guys try to tip me with their money
I'ma let 'em know I'm dedicated to my honey

No one but you
I'll be coming home to you
No one but you
Even if it's after two

Even if I'm out till three thirty in the morning
I won't talk to no one, cause I've got my honey

Even if the guys try to tip me with their money
I'ma let 'em know I'm dedicated to my honey

Virginia Williams' vocal talent is off the meter. I always loved and admired how Timbaland & Missy Elliott always managed to make powerful church-like voices sound so hot over their futuristic beats and not make it come off as "try hard" or cheesy. Their technique ran deep within their clique (e.g. Gina Thompson, Tweet, Nicole Wray, Lil' Mo, Keli Nicole Price, Playa, Ginuwine, Avery Storm, Jazmine Sullivan, K-Ci & JoJo).

She was so great, I loved this song since ‘98!

@MPK112233

This is what modern day R&B vocals and lyrics should sound like.

@RobandSijay

I was just singing the hook in the shower and couldn't remember where it came from...damn I was 17 when this dropped!! & it still slaps at 42.

@derrickrobinson6024

One of my favorite albums.. and this song deserved so much more attention.. vocals are insane!!!

@h.u.l.knotorious9964

Missy didn't sing the whole song, this is Virginia Williams (now Virginia Rush) with Missy as background vocal

@UnreleasedUnderratedRnBgrooves

I agree they should've credited Virginia but Missy still retains the credit simply for not only lending backup but additionally vocally arranging, writing and assisting with production. She truly is as Janet Jackson nicknames her "Miss JACK of all trades".

@UnreleasedUnderratedRnBgrooves

But I need to also add yes Virginia deserves Main credit she’s obviously the lead & main feature on this piece. Missy is just supporting cameo.
