The reason why many people claim they have heard this song outside Timesplitters is because this song is almost fully build using royalty free samples made by a guy called Phil Disco. Links down below.

Timesplitters was life. Cortez practically raised me. The hours spent playing virus alone. Great memories. Just bought future perfect again just to try to get my sons to play it.

The game aged like fine wine. Recently picked up the Xbox original copy because I've 100% the Gamecube release. Having a blast all these years later

What we used to do is go into this level I made when I was a teenager in the level making creative mode. It was made up of long and connecting hallways, sometimes it would lead to doors, sometimes those doors were helpful, sometimes they would lead to death traps in the floor. And every light on every tile was changed to be the same color green as the person who had virus. You would put in the max amount of bots and you would all start in one big area that had six hallway entrances, and you would have to run. You can’t really tell who’s on fire until they’re up in your face, and there’s no guns in the level. So all you can do is keep running and try your best to avoid whoever is on fire. It was amazing, and super easy to make. If you still have the game you should try it

Reading these comments brings a tear to my eye. I never knew so many other people had the same fond memories of this game as I do.

You can't really see them because they're so short. It's the oddjob effect.
