The first two games were published by Eidos. The first, released on the PlayStation 2 as a launch title for the system, while its sequel was also released on Xbox and GameCube, in addition to the PlayStation 2 version. There are currently three games in the series, TimeSplitters, TimeSplitters 2, and TimeSplitters: Future Perfect (published by EA Games).

Captain Ash's pipe gets shot out of his mouth by a sniper
Captain Ash: What the?! That was my best pipe, you BOUNDAH! looks at Cortez No! Don't!
Cortez: Get down. fires flare gun at sniper, killing him
Captain Ash: Stunned Good shot, old man.
Cortez: I don't think much of this weapon.
Captain Ash: But I'm afraid you've let the cat out of the bag now.
Cortez: Why?

Cortez: Dammit. Alright, look. If you can get us to shore without getting us killed, I'll help you find your friend.

A series that has been lost to time unfortunately, I always get that emotional nostalgic feeling listening to this. RIP Timesplitters, from an era of video games where studios weren’t afraid to try new things.

I miss the hell out of this game! I still have the disc for my GameCube but it won't work anymore (according to the internet that's a common problem with TS Future Perfect). Can't bring myself to throw it out. Too many memories. Thanks God I still have all my data saved. Gotta get a new copy.

Future Perfect could never be released in today's gaming climate. The amount of content that's included in the game is absolutely insane and would make publishers have a heart attack at the prospect of, God forbid, a product with a huge amount of game modes, characters, and maps bundled with the base game. No content exclusion for forced DLC/micro-transaction business model nonsense. Those were the days.
