Timmy T started out in the 80's in small rap groups in Fresno, but felt that he would rather do dance music. He purchased a Moog synthesizer and a Roland TR-808 drum machine at a pawn shop, and recorded his first single, "Time After Time", in his garage. He delivered copies to a Fresno radio station and asked them to play his single. After the DJ played the song, there were many calls requesting who that was. The DJ recommended to Timmy T to take his record to radio stations in Los Angeles for more exposure. After Los Angeles pop station Power 106 played the record, Timmy got a record deal with Quality Records and released another single, "One More Try", which proved to be much more successful than his first single, climbing its way to the top of the Billboard charts.
Although Freestyle music has been a mainstay of New York and Miami, Timmy T was one of the most successful Freestyle artists to come from California.
He recorded his first album, "Time After Time", featuring the title track (his first single), "One More Try", and "What Will I Do." He followed up with "All For Love."
Timmy T has toured all over the world and performed on various TV shows through the early 90's. Following a financially draining divorce, having to raise his children, and the decline of Freestyle's popularity in general, Timmy fell out of the public eye. Nowadays, Timmy tours with other Freestyle acts such as The Cover Girls, Stevie B, Lisa Lisa, and others on the club circuit. His music still garners heavy rotation on Freestyle playlists.
Timmy T is not related to fellow Freestyle singer Judy Torres.
All For Love

And losing you wouldn’t mean a thing
When I deny my feeling
Love become cold as ice
We have a love that lives for ever
I’d rather die and not remember
We gave it all, we traded hearts
All for love
All for love
There isn’t a day I traded silver
There isn’t a night that didn’t shine like gold
Maybe it hurt not knowing, but all that we could have been
And all that we were to live for ever
I’d rather die and not remember
We gave it all, we traded hearts
All for love
We came so close we went so far
All for love
Even though it’s over, love never really end
It was our choir
And we still can’t simile ‘cause I knew you loved me
When we gave it all, we traded hearts
All for love
We came so close we went so far
All for love
We gave it all, we traded hearts
All for love
We came so close we went so far
All for love
The lyrics of Timmy T's song "All for Love" tell the story of a love that has ended, but still remains strong in the hearts of both parties. The singer acknowledges that he could pretend he never loved the other person and move on, but he cannot deny his feelings. He knows that denying love makes it cold and that their love will live on forever. The lyrics express a sense of regret for what could have been, despite acknowledging that they gave it their all and traded hearts for the sake of love. Even though it's over, their love never really ends, and they still remember it with fondness.
