I Love to Love
Tina Charles Lyrics

But my baby just loves to dance
He wants to dance, He loves to dance, He's got to dance
Oh I love to love
But my baby just loves to dance
Oh I love to love
But there's no time for our romance
No no no oh
I love to love
But my baby just loves to dance
The minute the band begins to swing it
He's on his feet to dig it
And dance the night away
Stop I'm spinning like a top
We'll dance until we drop
But if I had my way
Oh I love to love
But my baby just loves to dance
He wants to dance, He loves to dance, He's got to dance
Oh I love to love
But my baby just loves to dance
Oh I love to love
But he can give our love a chance
No no no oh
Oh I love to love
But my baby just loves to dance
Stop I'm spinning like a top
We'll dance until we drop
But if I had my way
Sundown instead of going downtown
We'll stay at home and get down
To what I'm tryin' to say
I love to love
But my baby just loves to dance yes he does
I love to love
But my baby just loves to dance, yes he does
I love to love
But my baby just loves to dance yes he does
I love to love
But my baby just loves to dance yes he does
I love to love
But my baby just loves to dance yes he does
In Tina Charles' song "I Love to Love," the lyrics convey a sense of playfulness and frustration as the singer expresses her love for her partner, but bemoans his obsession with dancing. The chorus repeats the title phrase "I love to love" followed by the refrain "But my baby just loves to dance," emphasizing the contrast between the singer's desire for romance and her partner's obsession with movement. The line "there's no time for our romance" highlights the tension between the two desires, suggesting that the partner is prioritizing their love of dancing over spending time with their partner.
The verses describe the singer's experience at a dance party with her partner, where he is immediately drawn to the music and begins dancing as soon as the band starts to play. She describes herself as "spinning like a top," emphasizing the frenzied energy of the dance floor. However, she also expresses frustration that her partner's love of dancing is getting in the way of their love, suggesting that they might be better off staying home and spending time together instead.

One of the best songs ever and Tina Charles one of the best singers. I'm a 76 year-old male and still watch and listen to this video repeatedly. It's the type of song that sticks in your head forever and the type of song you want to hear over and over again and never tire of.
