Never Let You Go
Tina Moore Lyrics

Never gonna let you go
Cos you're my baby
Worth more than a million in gold
Now that I've got you back
I'll never let you go
Won't be a fool anymore

Time has come
For me to open my eyes
Blinded from
When I let you go boy
Now I see a new light
I got you back in my life

Oh yeah

Never gonna let you go
Cos you're my baby
Worth more than a million in gold
Now that I've got you back
I'll never let you go
Won't be a fool anymore

You are the one
That brings joy to my life
I'm sprung so strong
I have the strength to go on
Now I have some energy
Now my man is here with me

Oh yeah

Never gonna let you go
Cos you're my baby
Worth more than a million in gold
Now that I've got you back
I'll never let you go
Won't be a fool anymore

Oh ill never (never let)
Never let you go
I'll never, never, never, never, never
Never, Never let you go
Baby baby don't you know
Never let you go
Baby don't you know
Never let you go

Let me show how I missed you
I give you things that you love ah
I wanna make love everyday
Ohin a special way
I guarantee you never ever stay

Never ever
Never ever
Never ever
Never ever
Never ever
Never ever

Never let him go
Never let him go
Never, never, never, never, never, baby
Never let you

Never gonna let you go
Cos you're my baby
Worth more than a million in gold
Now that I've got you back

I'll never let you go
Won't be a fool anymore

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to "Never Gonna Let You Go" by Tina Moore are about a love that was lost and found again, with the singer making a commitment to never let go of their significant other. They describe the person as being more valuable than anything material, worth "more than a million in gold." The singer expresses regret for being blinded when they initially let go of their partner but now they see a "new light" and have the strength to go on with life. The chorus, "Never gonna let you go, 'cause you're my baby, worth more than a million in gold," repeats the idea that the singer will never let go of their loved one again, with the added declaration that they won't be a fool anymore.

The bridge describes the joy that the partner brings to the singer's life and how their presence gives them the energy to keep going. The ending verse is a declaration of love and promises to make up for lost time. The refrain, "Never let you go" repeated over and over again, emphasizes the message of the song that the singer will never allow their loved one to slip away again.

One interesting fact about this song is that it was released in 1995 but gained popularity in the UK garage scene in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The song was remixed by DJ EZ, creating a version that became a hit in clubs and on pirate radio stations. Another interesting fact is that the song was originally written by Chicago-based R&B songwriter Joyce Sims in 1987, with Moore's version being a cover that updated the production and added additional lyrics. Tina Moore was actually discovered singing karaoke in a bar in New Jersey, and her version of "Never Gonna Let You Go" was her biggest hit.
