Long Way Home
Tina and the B-Side Movement Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
It’s a long way home
When you’ve burnt down every
Bridge that you’ve crossed it’s a long way
When you find that you can’t
Make it on your own
When you find out what the things
You want they really cost
I don’t believe in quick fixes
Anything that comes easy i don’t care to own
It takes time to build solid bridges
Between where you are
And where you want to go
It’s a long way it’s a long way
It’s a long way home
When you’ve set ablaze every
Bridge that you’ve crossed it’s a long way
When you find that you can’t
Make it on your own
When you find out what the things
You want they really cost
When you find out happiness is hard work
It always was
The song "Long Way Home" by Tina and the B-Side Movement is a beautiful love song about the lengths we would go to be reunited with the ones we love. The lyrics "climb any mountain, cross every sea" underscore the theme of love and determination. The singer is willing to cross any barrier, no matter how high or daunting, to be reunited with the subject of the song. The repetition of the chorus only reinforces the sense of determination and faith in the power of love.
The singer of the song is confident that their faith will light the way for the subject of the song. The lyrics say "Our faith will be a lantern I hold in my hand to light your way across these desert lands." The lantern is a metaphor for hope and faith, and it serves as a guide for the subject of the song, who is crossing treacherous terrain to be with the singer.
The song is ultimately about faith, love and the power of the human spirit to overcome obstacles. It is a beautiful song that is both inspiring and uplifting.
