Nu jazz and avant-pop, trip-hop and downtempo, lounge and ambient are among the ways the Tinavie music is often described by the audience and the music critics. Not being faithful followers of any specific musical genre, Tinavie are exploring the new sonic landscapes, following nothing but their own vision of what modern independent pop music should be.
To date Tinavie have released three studio albums and played numerous gigs around Russia and Ukraine, as well as made successful international festival and club stage appearances in France and United States; they have appeared in the same line-up with such internationally acclaimed musicians as Apparat Band, Architecture In Helsinki, Kraak & Smaak, Fallulah, dEUS and others.
The latest Tinavie album "Kometa" (which in English means "a comet") was released on iTunes on November 18, 2013. The musicians themselves jokingly describe the album as "Le Petit Prince" from the Saint-Exupery story who found himself to be a character of Lars Von Trier "Melancholia".

Hate
Tinavie Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I feel pain, but I don't cry
I'm black inside, but I feel shine
I'm so sick, but I can smile
I hate you, babe
I'll break you, babe
I want to kill you, babe
The lyrics to "Hate" by Tinavie reveal a complicated and conflicting emotional state. The first verse expresses the paradoxical feelings of being full of hate but still remaining quiet and seemingly peaceful on the outside. The following lines suggest that while the singer might experience pain internally, they refuse to express it through tears. The line "I'm black inside, but I feel shine" further complicates the conflicting emotions, as it seems to suggest that despite the darkness within, there is still some light shining through. Finally, the verse ends with an ironic statement about being able to smile through sickness.
The chorus, on the other hand, takes a more straightforward approach to the turmoil in the singer's mind. The repeated line "I hate you, babe" is simple enough, but is immediately contradicted by the next line, which states "I'll break you, babe." The singer's desire to kill their beloved adds even more complexity to the lyrics, turning the song into an exploration of the darker side of love and relationships. The final line, "But I love you, babe," encapsulates the push-pull of emotions that make up the human experience.
Overall, the lyrics to "Hate" are a powerful and thought-provoking exploration of the often-contradictory nature of human emotions, particularly when it comes to love and hate.
