Nu jazz and avant-pop, trip-hop and downtempo, lounge and ambient are among the ways the Tinavie music is often described by the audience and the music critics. Not being faithful followers of any specific musical genre, Tinavie are exploring the new sonic landscapes, following nothing but their own vision of what modern independent pop music should be.
To date Tinavie have released three studio albums and played numerous gigs around Russia and Ukraine, as well as made successful international festival and club stage appearances in France and United States; they have appeared in the same line-up with such internationally acclaimed musicians as Apparat Band, Architecture In Helsinki, Kraak & Smaak, Fallulah, dEUS and others.
The latest Tinavie album "Kometa" (which in English means "a comet") was released on iTunes on November 18, 2013. The musicians themselves jokingly describe the album as "Le Petit Prince" from the Saint-Exupery story who found himself to be a character of Lars Von Trier "Melancholia".

Lose
Tinavie Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Don't you say it's my illusion?
I can lose myself
I can lose my breath
Now I want to change this empty world
From now every part of all around
Will be a beauty sound.
You see my music is my tranquilizer
Oh, sweet music but it's not what I want
Sweet music but it's not what I want
Sweet music but it's not what I want
So give me more...
The lyrics to Tinavie's song "Lose" seem to be about the power of music to transport us and help us escape the "empty world" around us. The singer is asking if they can stay in this space of musical transcendence, and acknowledges that others may see it as an illusion. However, for them, it's a place of release where they can lose themselves and their breath. They want to bring this feeling to the world and create a "beauty sound" that is as deep as the sea within them.
The chorus of "Sweet music but it's not what I want / So give me more..." suggests that while the singer values the music they've found, they want something even deeper or more meaningful. Perhaps they are searching for a sense of purpose or connection that the music alone cannot provide.
Overall, the lyrics convey a yearning for something more than the mundane world around us, and a belief in the transformative power of music to create that something. It's a message that will resonate with anyone who has found solace or inspiration in the beauty of music.
