Wet Dollars
Tink Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Scoot down the line if you wanna get inside
Move back who's that open up two tabs
Drinks on me like a better shot
Very hot bandmate
Gotta make way 'fore I pass out
Pretty girls frontin' on the floor with they (their) backs out
Work that
You gotta make a nigga wanna know where you makin' plans at
Downtown livin' at the Trump
Everyday's good when you make an income
So I mix the drink like I'm movin' on my feet
'Cause I can go on and on and on
One shot, two shot, get on my team
He was a married man 'til he gave me a ring
Club doesn't peak 'til around about three
So won't you lock it down, feel the burn like
Likes when I talk to him rude
He likes when I've had a few shots 'cause I give him attitude
Bitch better open my door
Tell him if he really want my ass then he gotta kiss more
The bar's up high so if you not at least six foot five then you might as well not even apply
I am feeling good, though, 'cause your nigga coolin' in the back with a rack make him give it up
To me like kudos, lame-ass niggas don't do those
Rule number uno keep that uh-uh tight
You know we all yours if you move up on the floor baby look at that ass twice
That man better get on my team we ain't married yet he good up on his knees
I might not peak 'till around about three so once you bite down I'll make a sound like
The song 'Wet Dollars' by Tink is an upbeat, energetic party anthem that seems to have been inspired by a night out at the club. The lyrics are filled with references to drinking, dancing, and hooking up. The opening lines of the song, "Slam your brakes when I walk through the place. Scoot down the line if you wanna get inside" seem to suggest that the singer is a VIP in the club and everyone wants to be near her. The verses are filled with boasts and playful challenges to potential suitors to win her affection.
In the second verse, the singer boasts about her ability to party hard and her power over men. "Likes when I talk to him rude. He likes when I've had a few shots 'cause I give him attitude." She also sets out her expectations for men who want to be with her, laying down some specific physical requirements for would-be suitors. The final lines of the song, "I might not peak 'til around about three, so once you bite down I'll make a sound like," suggest that the party is just getting started and that the singer is looking for someone to help her keep things going until the early hours of the morning.
Overall, the lyrics to 'Wet Dollars' are a celebration of youth, hedonism, and sexual freedom. The singer is confident, bold, and unapologetic about her desires.

gotta be honest, this sounds like you're walking in a club, laid out in blacklights, moving through the crowd, place is going wild, vibe's jumping and them eyes rush yours and you're drawn in with the beat...flowing... in other words, sounds like early 90's...on point!
