Alexander Beyer and John William McCormick, Jr., multi-instrumentalists based in and around Philadelphia, PA. Beyer's study in Western Classical (baroque and Spanish) and Appalachian Folk have helped shaped his unique and growing style. Mac has played in the area with numerous projects, including NJ-based band Break Away.

The debut EP, Matter & Light, is a short collection of songs that have existed in various recorded forms for some time. It brings together songs inspired by southern trees, the mortality and weakness in familial bonds, and a Japanese death haiku. Granted, it seems fairly disparate, but there is still something there that unites them all.

The group is planning its first full-length recording for 2013.

The only people that pay are the tax payers. Sorry, but ive seen this story before and i dont like how it ends.

What makes you think the government would be anymore efficient with this venture especially in democrat controlled areas?
Moreover, i like many conservatives have lost faith in the government managing these programs. Literally trillions of dollars have been poured into this system of helping the less fortunate and where has it gotten us? The answer is more homelessness. This is a cultural problem and an education problem. Instead of teaching valuable skills and money management in schools, we're teaching critical race theory and shit thar doesnt matter.

@RichardZ in some states landlords have to accept section 8, regardless of if the unit in question is in the ghetto or not, if someone can afford it with their subsidies then that's all that matters. & It takes months or even years for it to kick in. Rent assistance and homelessness solutions are two different conversations.

@pkexi Here in Denver they’re getting the homeless in to group homes and I’m ok with having individuals that were homeless living next to me as long as there’s supervision. I expect no child molester, someone that has been charged with a violent crime or sexual assault and no drug users. It’s a bit scary since I have children but these people deserve a chance.

So long as it’s not in our city. Also once housing is provided. Homeless people that refuse to go should be arrested and sent to a jail somewhere in the desert to encourage them to take the shelters provided. It’s sound horrible I know, but it would help the homeless get straightened out. All they need is some discipline.

Usually these tiny homes are temporary and the goal, I think is to find a permanent home for those in need. This could mean that homeless aren’t living there for 2-4 damm years lol collecting a ton of stuff, and making the spaces super crappy as they would if they were on the streets. All communities need to give these homes a chance. I’d rather see them in these homes temporarily than tents all over the damm street with feces and their garbage! That crap has got to end now!

It’s sad that this lady found a place next to a low achieving elementary. These little homes will be next to a family park and a school. The school is part of the Los Angeles district and majority are low income Hispanics. Shame on this white privileged lady. She didn’t place them next to Arcadia schools, which there would be more protesters but she went and dump this project near a low achieving school, where she knows they won’t have a big problem with the parents or teachers opposing. They should be up in arms. She should consider other locations.

I've always wondered about these tiny homes. Are they just temporarily homes for the homeless until they get back on there feet or are they permanent homes? Because if there temporarily, they're going to have problems with many homeless not wanting to leave or not attempting to better themselves. And... if and when that happens.... thats what you get California for enabling the homeless for all these YEARS.

Also are they going to have a staff on each of these locations to keep a close eye on the cleanliness? Because we all know homeless people love to collect junk and tend to create a large pile of it overtime. Gonna be intresting and perhaps entertaining from here and out. Who knows this might backfire lol.

They are meant to be temporary so these folks Have to get their butts out at some point. As the lady said in the video, they are supposed to be managed, have social workers/case managers and security. There are rules I’m assuming for not having too much extra personal belongings in the unit but let’s see how they work out.

A senior lady and her dog were killed in the middle of the day by attacker with knife in San Dimas. Same week man in LA killed while in his own backyard by homeless guy with knife. Week later senior Asian lady knifed and killed by homeless woman in Riverside. A few days ago mom with kids in Azusa park slashed on neck by homeless woman with knife. Need I say more?

I live just 6 miles from Acadia its very upscale I don't believe the residents want the homeless there. The community I'm sure could raise the money for this project if they wanted to. Tent cities are everywhere now not just in Los Angeles.

yes , they deserve free shelter and house. But it doesn't mean it must be in a upper middle class area. There's a lot of place with cheaper land price can be used to build shelter/tiny house for them. Imagine you worked hard and save money for 20 years, and finally be able to pay the 10% of a good house's price, apply loan from bank to get a good house in a good area. But one day, government put some tiny houses in your neighbors, and homeless people come. The price of your house suddenly dropped 40% from the pice when you bought it, but you still need to pay your loan. Your children are attacked by homeless when they return home from school. then you have 2 choice. 1 sold your house with 40% cheaper than the price you bought it, and leave. 2 stay in this area where you and your family's safety is threaten by homeless.

Inlist homeless in public service jobs after training, put them up in apartments that offer units as section 8 throughout the southland. Worst case, street maintenance such as trash pick up and cleaning. Assist with mental treatment or drug abuse, alcohol abuse and alow them to be productive with an open schedule but atleast 30 or so hours a week.
