Hey Jude
Tiny Tim With Brave Combo Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Hey, Jude, don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better

Hey, Jude, don't be afraid
You were made to go out and get her
The minute you let her under your skin
Then you begin to make it better.

And any time you feel the pain, hey, Jude, refrain
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders
Well don't you know that its a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder

Hey, Jude! Don't let her down
You have found her, now go and get her
Remember, to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better.

So let it out and let it in, hey, Jude, begin
You're waiting for someone to perform with
And don't you know that it's just you, hey, Jude,
You'll do, the movement you need is on your shoulder

Hey, Jude, don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better

Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better

Overall Meaning

The song "Hey Jude" by Tiny Tim With Brave Combo is believed to be an adaptation of The Beatles' popular song of the same name. The chorus lyrics give a message of hope and encouragement to someone who has just experienced a bad situation. The singer, Jude, is being told not to make it bad and instead, take a sad song and make it better. The lyrics suggest that the way to make things better is to let someone into your heart, and the minute you let them under your skin, things can start to improve. The lyrics also remind Jude not to carry the world upon his shoulders and not to make his world a little colder by pretending to be cool. Instead, Jude is being encouraged to pursue the woman he has found and let her into his heart, which will help him start to make things better.

Got this piece of art on CD, so there's a possibility of someone playing this at my funeral.

Dave Costa

Amazing cover, fun as I expected from TT. I love all the great (and not so great;) covers you have posted, thank you so much for the effort! I'm into covers as well so I appreciate it. Keep up the good work:)

Fantástico músico, veía la música como pocos!

CocoGras

this is the best cover of hey jude I've ever heard.

rockweedgirl

Occasionally I was sure I was hearing the great and immortal Janis Joplin. In any case, what a treat. There's gonna be a Tiny Tim renaissance, like with so many painters and poets and writers who have little success in their lives, but generations after their deaths finally get the appreciation their genius deserves.

helikestv

remember hearing this on howard stern when they did a tribute show to tiny after he died. awesome to hear the whole thing after all these years

Tiny giving this tune the respect it deserves

Mpoconnor7

The best part of the song is the first 30 seconds or so. I'm guessing the surviving Beatles were aghast at what Tiny did to their song, but I imagine Yoko probably enjoyed it.

Snagglefratz

Mpoconnor7 LOL

I can say with almost 100% certainty George would have enjoyed this
