Senora Ley
Tito Nieves Lyrics

Oiga senora ley, mire senora ley, atienda senora ley, senora ley
No me castigue mas no me haga sufrir
Si yo nunca le he hecho nada
Porque me castigas senora ley
Yo se que soy inicente
Porque me castigas senora ley
Me hicieron mala jugada.
Como usted me quiere a mi
Asi no se quiere a nadie
Como me trata comadre
Asi no se quiere a nadie
Mejor no me quieras na
Asi no se quiere a nadie
Prefiero estar en la calle.
Asi no se quiere a nadie
The lyrics to Tito Nieves's song Señora Ley are about a man who feels hopeless and unfairly punished by a person or entity referred to as "Señora Ley," which can be translated to "Mrs. Law". The singer feels as though his feelings are being deliberately hurt and blames "Señora Ley" for his situation. He sees himself as a prisoner, a slave to the authority of "Señora Ley," and wishes to no longer be subject to her punishments.
The singer questions why "Señora Ley" punishes him when he claims he has done nothing wrong. He begs her to stop casting him away and causing him pain. The final verses of the song speak to the extreme frustration the singer experiences, as he compares "Señora Ley's" treatment of him to nobody's else. He desires to be free, and wishes to not be loved by "Señora Ley" if she cannot love him fairly.
This song seems to be about the frustrations with the legal system in Latin America, represented by the fictional character "Señora Ley". The singer feels trapped and unfairly punished by a system that doesn't understand him or his actions. The lyrics are an expression of the frustration felt by many people who have felt unfairly oppressed by the law.
