Rosario was born in Higuey, a province in the Dominican Republic. Since childhood, he and his brothers showed interest in music, even playing self-created instruments like bottle caps, plastic containers, and others. Soon they started singing and playing in the neighbourhood and started what would later be known as Los Hermanos Rosario with whom he enjoyed great success later.
In the late 80s, after 12 years with his brothers, Toño decided to abandon the group and started his own solo career. He debuted April 14, 1990 in the Roberto Clemente Coliseum of Puerto Rico. He went on to become one of the most popular merengue singers with some of his albums reaching platinum status.

A mi difunto hermano le gustaba esta canción en la versión de Toño Rosario, y cuando llevaron su cuerpo sus hijas le pusieron está canción 😢. Ya que el luchó años con sus enfermedades y resistió hasta donde Jesucristo le dió fuerzas. 50 años vivió en este mundo. Era profesor y pintor ❤
