Somewhere In The Between
Toh Kay Lyrics

You were gone when we found you
You were practically surrounded, you were trapped
But the opposition stalled, their blood ran cold
When they saw the look of love in your eyes

Maybe the times we had, they weren't that bad
And everything else was part of the plan
We sang: "I don't know where we go from here"
This is the alpha, omega, beginning and the end
And we all just idolize the dead

So you were born (So you were born!), and that was a good day
Someday you'll die (Someday you'll die!), and that is a shame
But somewhere in the between was a life of which we all dream
And nothing and no one will ever take that away

You had a love and that love had you
And nothing mattered, you were fine
And some will complain, they're just bitter, what a shame
They know that loving and losing is better than nothing at all

Maybe the times we had, they weren't that bad
And everything else was part of our path
We sang: "I don't know where we go from here"
This is the anthem, the slogan, the summary of events
And we all just idealize the past

So you were born (So you were born!), and that was a good day
Someday you'll die (Someday you'll die!), and that is a shame
But somewhere in the between was a life of which we all dream
And nothing and no one will ever take that away

Yeah the times we had, they were not that bad
And everything else it was part of the plan
We sang: "I don't know where we go from here"
This is the alpha (Alpha!), omega (Omega!), beginning and the end
And we all just idolize the dead

So you were born (So you were born!), and that was a good day
Someday you'll die (Someday you'll die!), and that is a shame
But somewhere in the between you lived a life of which we all dream
And nothing and no one will ever take that away

And someday soon my friends, this ride will come to an end
But we can't just get in line again

... mother of God... this was beautiful... it's so calming, and makes me feel tranquil... this song is godlike, so are the bands and artists who sing it. Thumbs up, SLMF and Toh Kay!

Even after listening to all these relaxing songs, I'm still riled up by the thought of Toh Kay not being more famous. Why can't artists like him be on the radio? Why can't he be one of the musicians that our generation uses as an example for why the next generation's taste in music sucks?

This gives me the look of love in my eyes... and nothing and no one will ever take that away

Ryan Beresford

This album inspired me to buy a classical guitar.

I would die if Tony did a chill cover (remake?) like this one but of "The Receiving End of It All".

Well written, but this is just incredibly sad.

The MOCingbird

The funny thing is that this is one of the most uplifting songs on the album.

This song, for me, completely summed up my college experience... if you think of it in terms of having to leave everything you had behind come graduation... of course thinking being born as a freshman... and dying as going through graduation. Wow. Love it, thanks Toh Kay.
