After Bill Kaulitz’s participation in a children’s Star Search in 2003 at age thirteen (which he lost in the quarter-final), he was discovered by music producer Peter Hoffmann. Devilish changed their name to Tokio Hotel: “Tokio” is the German spelling of the Japanese city Tokyo, due to a love of the city, and “Hotel” due to their constant touring and living in hotels.
Soon after Sony BMG took them under contract, Hoffmann hired David Jost and Pat Benzner into the team of creators and authors, and had them give the teens instruction on songwriting and instrument playing; most of the songs of the first album were written by Hoffmann, Jost and Benzer (including the singles Scream and Rescue Me which were completely written by them), only the single Unendlichkeit was written completely by Tokio Hotel themselves. However, shortly before release of their first album, Sony terminated their contract. In 2005, Universal Music Group took Tokio Hotel under contract and developed a marketing plan. The band has now become one of the biggest acts originating from Germany, The bands success has reached The United States, Mexico, Puerto Rico, France and various other countries.
Tokio Hotel released the album "Humanoid" in Europe And the United States, With translations in German and English.

Amazing to watch this music videoclip after 9 years.
Because of this song I became a fan of Tokio Hotel.
I remember I was 18 years old, sitting in my room, watching television.
And then I saw this music videoclip for the very first time, and I was in love with this song! <3
Ever since I was looking on google and social media for more information about this band.
And I discovered other songs from Tokio Hotel.
I also discovered that Bill was my favorite of Tokio Hotel, his long black hair was really catchy.
And I loved it! <3
I visited two concerts, the Zimmer 483 tour (2008), and the Humanoid tour (2010).
The two concerts where I've been, were in the Netherlands, where I also live.
I think I've been a fan for at least 4 years.
In these 4 years, I collected a lot of Tokio Hotel stuff.
Jewelery, clothes, cd's, dvd's, pictures, agenda's, everything.
I was 22 years old when I wanted to discover other music from other singers.
So I actually lost that feeling of being a fan, that sounds really sad.
But I really miss that time that I was a big fan of Tokio Hotel.
I'm not a fan anymore, but I still want to met them backstage.
After all these years, a Meet&Greet is still on my bucketlist.
