By having one more day off, people will be able to stay up later and enjoy their lives more fully.

Cutting the workweek short,
The main goal of this proposal is to reduce the amount of time people spend working every week.

Asking for a show of hands from anyone who supports the idea of shorter workweeks and longer weekends.

A hard day's work
Acknowledging that people work hard and that their efforts should be rewarded.

Deserves a hard day's night.
After a long day at work, people should be able to rest and relax to prepare for the next day.

You should be sleeping like a log.
A natural and deep sleep is important for someone who has worked hard all day.

You work so hard,
An acknowledgement of the effort and dedication that people put into their jobs.

And yet you work too late.
Despite their best efforts, people often find themselves working later than they want or need to.

I wish you'd just punch
Expressing a desire that someone could physically assault an inanimate object, the clock, which is responsible for their workday.

The clock in its face.
The clock is a frustrating reminder of the limited time people have and the demands of their workplace.

We'll make it a crime
Changing the laws and attitudes around overworking and long workweeks.

To work overtime, no explanations.
People should not be expected or forced to work extra hours without being given a choice or explanation.

If you are accused of work-aholic abuse,
Working too much is seen as an abuse of people's health and wellbeing.

We'll send you on vacation.
Mandated leave is an essential component of encouraging employees to disconnect from work and take care of themselves.
