Its beautiful, But it reminds me of when my girl who i was engaged to was refused a visa to stay and live in my country and marry me. We were together 6 years and knew each other since we were 18 when i met her when she was here on holiday with her friend. I fell for her the minute i saw her. They were staying in a guest house on my friends road.
We asked them to join us when we were having a party and i was coming back from the shops.
They were sitting on the path outside.
We hit it off and they came back each summer for the next 4 years.
We had a sweet holiday romance fir the 3 summers after the first.
Well she went back to America and we lost contact after writing to each other.
Well when we were 40 we reconnected on facebook and it was like we never had parted.
We had 6 years together but our age went against us and she had to leave 3 years ago. The last night was the longest of my life,we just held each other until the morning came.
I will never forget watching her go through the departure gate knowing i would never see or hold her again. We chatted on FB for a few months but it was too hard.
Now im 48, live alone and have never had another girlfriend. I will probably die alone as i know i will never love anyone like her ,ever. Im still brokenhearted and look at a photo of us holding each other on a beautiful sunny day in the irish countryside. I cry every night and dont think i can go on much longer.
I just want to die.
