With These Hands
Tom Jones Les Reed & Orchestra Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

With these hands, I will cling to you,
I'm yours forever and a day.
With these hands, I will bring to you,
A tender love as warm as May.

With this heart I will sing to you,
Long after stars have lost their glow,
And with these hands, I'll provide for you.
Should there be a stormy sea,
I'll turn the tide for you,

And I'll never,
No, I'll never let you go.

Umm, no. Tom Jones is one of my all-time favorites. I can listen to him all day long. BUT, his voice, his control, and his volume have diminished significantly since the 60s. Which is understandable and normal. But no way can the 80-year-old Tom belt out a song like he once did.
