I know it's an old video, but huge issue with this method: A lot of standalone keypads have very tight rollover, so the chances of you getting a chord in a guitar hero chart which simply doesn't work for your keypad is very high.
You should remake this video using modern advancements, like a Teensy USB and FoFX / Phase Shift / Clone Hero.

You can use a GH-Xplorer guitar on your computer too if you don't want to do this. Works great on FoF.

Wow, that is so easy! Can't believe I didn't think of that lol. Good video though, great work :)

i have the GH guitar but i did this with my old acoustic guitar, looks amazing and is better than the real one (in my opinion) but i use it on GH not FOF

That was great, and for all of you that are saying, waste of time, or buy a guitar better than that one, the guitar is getto... Hopefully you still have some intelligence left to realize that the fun part, for him and some people is to build the guitar and put it together, no so much to play with it. And the video editing one of the best ones I've seen. If not the best. Great job

I'm posting a more in depth PDF file on my site. If you have any questions, shoot me an e-mail. It's hard to fit something that takes an entire day to build into a 4 minute video :-)
