A Fool Such as I
Tommy Edwards Lyrics

(Now and then there's a fool such as I)
Pardon me, if I'm sentimental
When we say goodbye
Don't be angry with me should I cry
When you're gone, yet I'll dream
A little dream as years go by
Now and then there's a fool such as I

Now and then there's a fool such as I am over you
You taught me how to love
And now you say that we are through
I'm a fool, but I'll love you dear
Until the day I die
Now and then there's a fool such as I

Now and then there's a fool such as I am over you
You taught me how to love
And now you say that we are through
I'm a fool, but I'll love you dear
Until the day I die
Now and then there's a fool such as I
Now and then there's a fool such as I
Now and then there's a fool such as I

My My

This song by Elvis is one of my favorite songs of all time along with Hank Snow's version. I was over at the SecondHandSongs.com website and took a chance and listened to Tommy's version and it was his original 1953 version and it blew me away. I mean it was beautiful, it brought tears to my eyes. Second Hand Songs mentioned he also did a remake in 1958 and apparently this is it. This version in my opinion is no where near his absolutely beautiful 1953 version as this version uptempo is just not as good as the '53 version. Anyway do yourself a favor and listen to the '53 version.
