Genesis released her first mixtape, World Vision, in 2015. In 2016, Dazed magazine described her as "the internet's most rebellious underground rap queen". Following the release of popular singles such as "Tommy" and "100 Bad", her debut studio album titled Tommy Genesis was released in November 2018. A follow-up EP, Tommy Genesis (Remixed), was released in December 2019 with new remixes of songs from her debut album.
