The Worryin' Kind

With a pair of rolling eyes
But since I found her
I'm the worrying kind
When she's out on a date
She's always flirting with the guys
Makes me so jealous
Now if you ever see my baby
See, I know you'll understand
Just why I say that
I'm the worrying kind
All the guys are all around her
Can't you see she's in demand
I guess you see why
I'm the worrying kind
I date her once, twice
And then I get to thinking
She's nice and then
We get to kissing
Mmm gee, just think
What I been missing
Now that I found her
Going out of my mind
I worry bout my baby knowing
She's been running round
Don't want to show her
I'm the worrying kind
I want to find a way, a way that
I can finally tame her down
Then I'll no longer be
The worrying kind
I date her once, twice
And then I get to thinking
She's nice and then
We get to kissing
Mmm gee, just think
What I been missing
Now that I found her
Going out of my mind
I worry bout my baby knowing
She's been running round
Don't want to show her
I'm the worrying kind
I want to find a way, a way that
I can finally tame her down
Then I'll no longer be
The worrying kind
Then I'll no longer be
The worrying kind
Then I'll no longer be
The worrying kind...
In Tommy Sands's song "The Worryin' Kind," the singer expresses his anxiety and jealousy towards his girlfriend, who he believes flirts with other men when she's out on a date. Despite being happy to have found her, the singer has become the worrying kind. He worries that his girlfriend is too attractive and too in-demand by other men, making him constantly concerned that he might lose her. The song portrays the singer's desire to tame his girlfriend's free spirit so that he can stop being the worrying kind.
The lyrics reveal a common theme in love and relationships: jealousy and insecurity. Even though the singer is happy to have found his baby, he cannot help his emotional reactions when he sees her flirting with other men. He feels insecure about his own ability to keep her interested, leading him to worry that he's not enough for her. However, he recognizes that his worries may be unfounded, as his girlfriend is simply a beautiful and desirable woman. Despite his anxieties, the singer remains committed and determined to make the relationship work, hoping to find a way to finally tame her down.
