The Outlaws. The Glaser Bros. also were back-up singers for Marty Robbins in the 1950s.[citation needed]

Tennessee Blues
Tompall Glaser Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I'd leave in a hurry
I'd find me a place where I could stay
And not have to worry
A place I could use
A place I could lose the Tennessee Blues
With no one around me
Valleys and streams, birds in the trees
And hills that surround me.
I'd try to forget all my regrets
I'd keep just the good times
I'd wake and I'd sleep, nothing but peace
Feel free all the time.
In Tompall Glaser's song "Tennessee Blues," the lyrics speak to a desire to escape from a dreary and depressing place. The singer of the song is searching for a place where they can live without worry or regret. To achieve this, they imagine a solitary mountaintop where they can be surrounded by nature and free to live life on their own terms. The lyrics evoke a feeling of longing for something better and the drive to make a change, to leave behind what is holding them back and seek happiness elsewhere.
The song is a classic example of country music's focus on themes of heartbreak, loss, and the search for meaning in life. It speaks to universal human experiences and the desire for a better tomorrow. To the listener, the song conveys a sense of hope that one can overcome despair and make a new start. The song's message is clear: even if you feel trapped in a bad situation, there is always a way out if you are willing to take the risk.
