I'm afraid I don't know wrong from right
All I know is that it's plain to see
You are never coming back to me
The way I feel for you
I would borrow, beg or steal for you
But it doesn't matter what I vow
You may believe I never loved you
Some of our friends have told you so
But why should you listen to friends dear
For who in this wide world can know
The way I feel inside
With a heart that just can't be denied
You would find a love that's deep and real
If you knew the way I feel
(The way I feel for you
I would borrow, beg or steal for you)
But it doesn't matter what I vow
What's the good, it's too late now
You may believe I never loved you
Some of our friends have told you so
But why should you listen to friends dear
For who in this wide world can know
The way I feel inside
With a heart that just can't be denied
You would find a love that's deep and real
If you knew the way I feel
If you knew the way I feel.
Tony Brent's song "The Way I Feel" is a heartfelt ballad about unrequited love. The lyrics are sung from the perspective of a person who deeply loves someone who has left them. The song begins with the singer expressing their confusion, not knowing what's right or wrong anymore. It's clear that the person they love is gone for good, and it's causing them great pain. The singer feels like they would do anything for this person, but it's too late to make a difference. The person they love is gone forever.
The lyrics go on to address the doubts that the person they love might have about their feelings. The singer knows that some of their friends have tried to convince the person they love that they never really cared for them. But the singer urges the person not to listen to their friends because no one in the world can truly know their heart. The final verse reiterates the depth of feeling and the impossibility of denying it. If only the person they love could understand the way the singer feels, they would see the depth and reality of the love that they share.
Overall, "The Way I Feel" is a beautiful, poignant song about the pain of unrequited love. It captures the heartbreak of loving someone who is no longer there, and the desperation of wishing they knew just how much you care.
