Yeah, but this recording does NOT feature The Beatles we know. When Beatles left Germany, another group took over The Beat Brothers name, and backed Tony Sheridan on other recordings - like this one.

Absolutely correct. The Beatles first used the name "Beat Brothers" when recording with Tony Sheridan. But other bands - including Joey Dee and The Starliters - also used the name on Tony's records.

True. But a lot of what really happened can be found in the book "The Man Who Gave The Beatles Away" written by their first manager Allan Williams. He will tell you that the Beatles IDOLIZED Tony Sheridan. And Tony gave them their first recording job,including their first single - My Bonnie. But you knew that already.

The Beatles were 'The Beat Brothers'. The word Beatles was too close to the word 'Peedles' which was slang for 'penis' in Germany, so it was named/credited 'Tony Sheridan and The Beat Brothers'. :)

i agree, they were kinda mean to them, he has said they didnt like him so much because he wasnt so much of a "party boy", so in the hamburg gigs Pete would be on bed already while the other 3 were gettin laid and/or high

yeah, sheridan came to mexico basically sayin that the beatles were a bunch of drunken lads who made it just because they were lucky (the first part is sort of true, but anyway not a good comment, not what people expected) lately it's like tony is showing up more ENVY about his once "backing band" (i guess he always felt like that but as he get older, he gets angry )

Pete could have improved. Like Ringo did. He was just a kid.

@FabFM Pete was a good drummer, but Ringo was better. The Beatles could never have become "The Beatles" without Ringo. But they should have done something for Pete--put pressure on the DJs to play Pete's records, get him gigs, have him open a few shows, etc.
