This for daddy's lil girl
My first real blessing
Hold on
You gotta give me a second
You gotta feel how I felt it
Hearing your heartbeat had mine inside melting
Hey Patience it's daddy
I love you
Talking to mommy's belly
Doing ya dance
She say you kicking heavy
You growing healthy
Mommy eating plenty
So i'm kissing and i'm rubbing on her stomach gently
Made with love so your no mistake
You my princess there's no debates
I'm always gon keep you safe
Counting down them days till I see ya face
The virtue is elegant
Patience Grace
That's daddy's girl
Who am I fooling baby you daddy's world
Daddy daughters
We gon have a ball
Work hard and you can have it all
You'll learn about the falls and how to dust it off
Calling you mine it really makes me proud
Staring at your ultrasounds
Always makes me smile
Mommy's talking crap
You kick her
I like ya style
That's daddy's girl
My 1st child
You'll never know until it yours
And now I understand
I was a boy became a man
Now a father with a plan
Play with mines i'll be god damned
Raising a queen
Black & beautiful
Love ya melanin
You'll never know until it yours
And now I understand
I was a boy became a man
Now a father with a plan
Play with mines i'll be god damned
Raising a queen
Black & beautiful
Love ya melanin
This is a letter to my unborn
In the womb of the queen
You in rare form
A miracle in the works
Swear i'm prepared for it
If it ain't about you
Then I don't care for it
If you want it then you earn it
Gotta work for something
But if you need it
Then I got you
Ain't gotta ask for nothing
You growing In that belly got ya momma fussing
That's why you feel a lotta rubbing
A lotta touching
I been where I don't you want you to go
Seen what I don't want you to see
Be you that's who I want you to be
In this world
You'll be destined to lead
You're royalty
And you heard that from me
You'll learn in life
That nothing's planned
But I promise
To do the best as I can
Give you life
Give you game
Give you plans
You'll never know until it's yours
And now I understand
You'll never know until it yours
And now I understand
I was a boy became a man
Now A father with a plan
Play with mines
I'll be god damned
Raising a queen
Black & beautiful
Love ya melanin
You'll never know until it yours
And now I understand
I was a boy became a man
Now a father with a plan
Play with mines i'll be god damned
Raising a queen
Black & beautiful
Love ya melanin

Started crying right before the first chorus.

In the last 4 years my mother has been diagnosed with cancer twice (first time was stage 3 breast cancer and second was stage 4 brain cancer) and times have been hard. But my dad has been my brothers, my mother and my rock through it all.

Didn't even need to finish listening to the song to know that I will oneday dance with him to this while wearing a white dress.

I'm very blessed to have a father like mine.

I'm always gonna be my daddy's little girl, no matter how old we get.

My dad passed away Feb 17th 2021.

My friend recently got married and this played. It hit me then, at my wedding I will never dance with my dad.

My mom had started crying and said “At least someone got to dance with their dad.”

That made me break.

I broke to one of the other bridesmaids. She gave me a huge hug.

I plan on my brother giving me away and I’ll still play this song, I’ll blubber like a baby then too.

Everyone in the comments is talking about how they lost their dads, I feel terrible for them.
I can’t imagine my life without my dad, he’s my best friend, my first love, my hero, and my protector. He’s given me a childhood that he never had and for that I will always be grateful.
My dad risks his life everyday (he’s a firefighter) for strangers and I never know if he’ll make it out alive.

I love you, daddy. Stay safe.

My daughter will be born next month... All i want is for her to feel that way about me.

@linziw2695

I pray for you and your dad that he is always safe in his work ❤ I lost my dad recently and I can tell you it's a heartbreak unlike any other! There's a big hole in my life now.. I'd give anything for one more of his hugs..

I want my daughter to love me like you love your dad. I’m pretty sure she does. Your comment gives me confidence.

My family has never been good with letting our feelings show. This year for fathers day I went against the grain I posted this song as my fathers day post on Facebook for my dad. We may not be great with putting our feelings into words, but we sure do love our music. Two days later for my birthday my dad posted "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw on my timeline. Might seem like nothing to some people. But to me it meant everything. 😍

Dayna Collie my family is the same way and its why I want this to be my song for my daddy daughter dance when I get married because it puts everything into words for me that I know I’d struggle to say
