The last ever movie I watched with my dad before he passed was the first Top Gun movie, right after the second one was announced. He never did get to see the sequel. But this song always reminds me of him and that he would have absolutely loved Top Gun Maverick. I miss him every day.

As a 14 year old I can officially say I’ve never cried to a rock anthem until today. I love rock music especially from the 80s and below, Much like my dads music taste. My father is approaching 60 now (he’s 55) and I can say with a heavy heart that without him i wouldn’t have been able to discover such a wide variety of music. Music makes me and so does my dad.

This has pure heroism in every beat. I can imagine this playing in a Superman movie, even an Iron Man or Batman movie. This tells you that there is a hero on their way to do what's right. Come hell or high water, life or limb, they will save the day. And it will be awesome.

Doesn’t fit Batman it’s to light hearted It fits Captain America, Superman, Ironman, Spiderman, and Captain Marvel even though I don’t like her I’m sure it fits with other characters but those are the main characters I think it would fit for because they are light hearted characters Batman should have darker tone music. Top Gun inspired me along with many young men and women to join the US armed forces in the the mid to late 80s.

Top Gun Maverick was a stunning sequel. Incredible cinematic scenes of flight sequences, a great script combined with notable character development, and nostalgic and emotional moments.
Must watch action-packed blockbuster movie of the summer! 🍿

This Top Gun soundtrack will always be remembered, and Maverick undoubtedly will keep it alive for the younger generations.

Watched both Top Guns back to back. Found both of them extremely enjoyable and well-crafted - wasn't expecting what I got, to be honest, and I don't have any regrets either. And the original film, man was that a window into a time I'll never know... and I'll always envy those who experienced it. (I was born around the mid-2000s, for reference)

We played this number in Orchestra back in Junior High and I gotta tell ya, being a part of that and feeling the energy of 100 kids playing our hearts out was quite a feeling! The only thing that came close would have been "Born in the USA" with me on the bass drum kicking that iconic beat in front of about a thousand people at the spring concert! Damn! I wanna say I miss the eighties, but that's not it. I mean I do miss the time period, but I miss the human spirit more. I miss the sense of national exceptionalism when everyone was patriotic, even the news networks were cheering on America! We need to figure out how to get that back.

I gotta say that i am from the younger generation, and i am so so glad that i grew up along with my dad who watched all of this, he maybe doesn't even know, but i am glad that i love these movies, Top Gun was a incredible movie for me when i watched it at first, the action that is not similiar to anything else, i fully respect people who may don't like these type of movies but i am obssesed.
