Talamak
Toro y Moi Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Nevermind, I've lost you
How can I tell if I love you anymore
Nevermind, I know I do
Call you closer to my arms
You'll feel better when you're warm
Do you like it when you leave your house?
Do you like it when you're in a town?
That you love
Like one I live in
Like one I live in
It's my body's plan
I feel another
Timer
Will my love
Slow down
It's my body's plan
Make another telephone call
Think of you and me
The lyrics to Toro Y Moi's song Talamak seem to be an introspective exploration of the nature of love and relationships. The opening lines express a yearning for connection, but this longing is cut short by the realization that the object of the singer's affection is no longer interested. The line "Nevermind, I've lost you" suggests a sense of resignation or acceptance, as if the singer has come to terms with the fact that they are no longer wanted.
The next few lines delve into a more introspective examination of the singer's feelings. They question whether they still love the other person, but quickly decide that they do. The lines "Call you closer to my arms / You'll feel better when you're warm" suggest a desire for physical closeness and intimacy, but also a willingness to comfort and care for the other person.
The final lines of the verse ask a series of rhetorical questions, and seem to reflect on the nature of place and belonging. The lines "Do you like it when you leave your house? / Do you like it when you're in a town? / That you love / Like one I live in / Like one I live in" suggest an awareness of the connection between one's surroundings and one's sense of self. Overall, the song seems to explore themes of love, loss, and the search for identity.

I think the lyric is actually "And she's on her knees" instead of "and she's on her needs." :~)
