1. Total is a British experimental/noise project formed in 1984 by Matthew Bower after the break up of Pure. Originally industrial oriented, Bower received occasional help from members of Ramleh and Ake. But towards the later 1980's the sound became more guitar oriented, and a group was formed which was name Skullflower, which ended Total. In the early 1990's, Matthew brought back the Total name to release his solo music aside from Skullflower. Although almost the releases by the second incarnation of Total are Matthew alone, towards the end he was joined by John Godbert, making Total a duo.
2. Total were an American R&B girl group formed in 1994. They made their first appearance singing the hook on The Notorious B.I.G.'s debut single, "Juicy". Garnering attention for the new group, they were also featured on the original version and "Hip Hop Remix" of his next single "One More Chance". They then immediately hit the studio with Bad Boy Records CEO Sean "Puffy" Combs and began work on their debut album. In their last official appearance together, they were thanked in the credits for their collaboration with Da Beatminerz and Talib Kweli - Anti-Love Movement in 2001 from their album Brace 4 Impak.

Lookin' at me
Tell me what'cha want
This to be
It could be everything
That your heart desires
All you gotta do
Is stick around for awhile
There's so many things
That I wanna do
Take you all around
It's all up to you
If you take my hand
And just follow me
There's no tellin'
What we can be
Just you and me yeah
Chorus:
I don't need
No one else but you
Tell me what you
Want me to do
I don't need
No one else but you
You gotta believe me
'cause what I say is true
Could ya be
All that I need
Show me what I
Need to see
If it's all right with you
Tell me now baby
We can take this
All the way
Just tell me how
Bridge
Chorus
If ya wanna just
Take your time
I'll understand
Just tell me why
If it's all right
Wit' you I'll let
You lead the way
No need to wait baby
Don't hesitate
(Rap-Da Brat)
Chorus
The lyrics to Total's song No One Else describe the singer's desire to be with the person they're addressing, and how they only need that one person in their life. The song begins with the singer acknowledging the other person looking at them and asking what they want their relationship to be. The singer then tells the other person that their relationship could be everything that they desire, as long as they stick around for a while. The bridge of the song talks about how the singer wants to take the other person around and do many things with them, but it's all up to the other person.
The chorus of the song is simple yet powerful, with the singer expressing that they don't need anyone else but the person they're addressing. They ask the other person what they want them to do and stress that they should believe them because what they say is true. The song ends with a rap verse from Da Brat, which echoes the same sentiments as the rest of the song.
Overall, the song expresses the desire for a deep, meaningful relationship with one person and the willingness to do whatever it takes to make it work.
