Yeah I do that sometimes, but I think in this case I stopped upgrading them at tier 3 because of the cost (which is dumb because there's plenty of cash in the bank lol). I'm a cheap bastard

The Cheval Errant line is a mercenary line- more or less 'Knight Errant/Hedge Knight', so you can keep those.
Also, the Battania T5 mercenaries are as effective as all other T5 infantry of their class, though in TAC unit skills tend to be a bit lower (from about 10-25 in the non-elite recruits, 25-30 in the elite recruits).

But this was a really important episode. You got so much top- notch gear off of those nobles you killed, and that big battle netted a ton of armor. It's really set you up for the future.

Man, the end game here is gonna look wild if all troops are companions. Also, on a side note
We have 2 low orbital horses. I wonder how many more we will see this campaign. All we need now is a noble to fly and survive.

I reckon since you generally dont drag these playthroughs on very long you should be a little bit more risky with battles and taking casualties. Yes it will make things take a a little longer but it will also keep the series entertaining by extending the 'early game' period which is the most enjoyable part of banner lord playthroughs. Especially since late game is usually just really grindy and repetitive.

Just a thought, love the videos either way strat <3

I am loving this series!! I am new to Bannerlord and really trying to improve. Do you have a video that goes over your tactics and how you handle the countering other units? I struggle with knowing how to position to prepare for the enemy when the balance of power is even or I am at the disadvantage. I seem to lose a lot of units due to my poor positioning. Thank you for all of that hardwork you put into these videos!

@@StratPlays You can enable this in cheat settings! Though it makes battles and warfare harder, and I’m not sure it actually works yet. I figured this out last night in it’s config menu and saw the ability to allow NPC garrison guard parties and such.

That huge battle at begining was a real mess, but fun also 😅
Every episode is now better and better, due more interesting battles with more dangerous enemy.

Two mod I suggest is Vlandian steel items and Bahamut armory.
Their items are so cool to look at, it's not balanced or historical but it's sure cool as hell having a full plate armor on.

Fun Fact the normands used the longbow way more than crossbow cuz it's much more effective on the battle fields and it was one of the main reasons that William the basterd defeated Harold gadwinson in battle of hastings 1066

Bit of a late reply but what's your CPU? 2080 should be fine for large battles (I have a 3060ti which is only slightly better and do fine) so it could be your CPU holding your system back as I believe large numbers of enemies becomes very CPU intensive. Just to eliminate your GPU as an issue you could also try enabling DLSS quality if you haven't already, if this doesn't help it is definitely your CPU holding you back.

What’s the difference between death for all and king slayer?

Death for all changes the death chance but still takes into account the medicine skill - so if it increase death rate to 20% but your medicine skill is high, it might drop back down to 2% anyways. King slayer is a flat rate death chance, medicine skill makes no difference.

hy ...don;t know if anyone else asked allready .. but what is the mod that auto upgrade items ? i've tryed to install the one from nexus site and doesn't work .. or i do something wrong !

It's called Equip Best Item. If you have it installed in the Modules folder, then you need to make sure you have it enabled before you launch the game. When you click to launch Bannerlord from steam, there's a pop up to launch and a tab that says "Mods". Make sure you go to that tab and click on the box next to EquipBestItem to make sure it turns on. I'm not sure if that's the issue, but hopefully it was!

Hmm depending on the position of your caravans depends on profit, if they are all close together then they'd be sharing in profit taking advantage of the same bargains so everyone after the first in bringing in less. Perhaps? try spreading them out more so they don't overlap trade routes as much 🤔

I think Vlandia always wins cause of RBM. It makes melee cavalry far too powerful especially with polearms which benefits Vlandia, and with infantry it makes 2 handed things like the bill better, which also benefits vlandia. Add in that it makes archers far less effective, it is a fun mod, but not well balanced.

There's actually a mod active (King Slayer) that overrides the medicine skill and turns the death rate into a flat percentage! It's brutal, but I'm really enjoying it :) When medicine skill is high, it's really hard to kill off companions even with huge losses

It's from the XP tweaks mod which gives a small amount of XP based on the total value of the trade, not just profit. Since I wasn't going to do any trade runs, but still wanted a few of the perks, this seemed like a reasonable trade as I could have used that 500k profit to trade legit items. It would take a really long time and I figured nobody wanted to watch me do trade runs lol
