"Talking Body" was written by Lo, Jakob Jerlström and Ludvig Söderberg, while its production was handled by The Struts and Shellback. It is an electropop song, with elements of trip-hop, synthpop and indie pop.
The song was praised for its impudence. Sam Lansky of Time wrote "Lo can be vulgar, as on the lusty 'Talking Body', which sets a scabrous singalong hook against some of Shellback's irresistibly catchy production, but that sexiness is shot through with frustration; she owns her desire, full-throttle."
The song peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming her second top 20 entry after "Habits (Stay High)". Additionally, it peaked at number four on the Mainstream Top 40 charts, which lists the most played songs on pop radio stations. To date, the single has spent 30 weeks on the Hot 100, and has sold two million downloads. It has also peaked at number 14 in Canada. As for Europe, it has peaked at number 16 in Sweden, number 100 in Germany, number 17 on the UK Singles Chart and number eight in Scotland, becoming her third top 20 entry after "Habits (Stay High)" and "Heroes (We Could Be)" with Alesso.

The wild part is that we remember things as if they filled us back then, but they didn’t. We were just as empty then.
The truth is that the hole we feel is the lack of God. We were made to worship our creator and to honor Him. Everything else we try to fill that hole with never works for long…
I do ponder whether this is actually hell and we are doomed to repeat the same life over and over forever, always feeling empty. The more sun and evil in our lives, the worse the punishment is for us, the worse we feel. Then at death, we just realize we’re going to repeat this life forever and that is heaven or hell depending on how you lived.
The kicker os that we know how our life is going to end even as kids. We just can’t put our finger on what it is we know.

On an lsd trip I “awoke” on the other side. I instantly knew I did something or figured something out I wasn’t supposed to. I could hear the souls of tormented people screaming “It’s a loop. It’s a loop. Break the loop!”
Years later during ketamine therapy I saw the other side again. I saw all of us trapped in these sarcophagi things with reality being fed into our minds like the matrix depicts. Everything in my life got worse and worse as I progressed in seeing things on that side.
