Toxic Narcotic was formed with the intent of mixing their favorite elements of punk and hardcore into an original sound with some nihilistic lyrics. This mix of brutal music with extremely energetic shows has created a large local and national following of people from different genres of underground music. The band has toured almost constantly for the past ten years all over North America and Europe. Aside from being the support act on several national tours, Toxic Narcotic has done countless DIY tours and has played with almost every band imaginable in every conceivable location. The band has self-released most of our own material from the very beginning on Rodent Popsicle Records, a label formed by the members of the band in 1992. Rodent Popsicle Records has grown to be one of the largest punk labels in New England and has put out almost one hundred releases to date. The label has helped dozens of local Boston area bands and booked countless shows for local and touring bands large and small.
Toxic Narcotic’s personal belief is that respect and integrity are more important than image and popularity. This is why we have always incorporated whatever style of music we want in our sound with no regard to what people think of us or trying to fit into any one specific clique or genre of underground music. We do not care what genre you choose to classify us as, nor do we care what people think of us! We choose not to rehash old musical styles by sounding like our influences, but rather create our own unique sound like a lot of the bands we are influenced by were doing in their time. Because we mix all kinds of styles into our music we have fans from every genre of underground music. We do not prefer any one group of people or subgenre of punk music over another. The band believes in unity in the so called scene but not at the cost of accepting ignorance from someone just because they dress the same or claim to have the same political views! We judge people by their character and actions not by their words or dress!

We
Toxic Narcotic Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Fuck the world and pass the booze
Embrace the end with self abuse
'Cause either way we're born to lose!
I detest your positive outlook and here's some reasons why
To war and hate and genocide we're all desensitized
Pollution, mass starvation, diseases spread unchecked
I don't need religious predictions or prophets from the past
To see this so called civilization is never gonna last
So take your hopes and take your dreams and shove them up your ass
Don't like suck? you're out of luck the end is coming fast
Everywhere I look, everyone I see
Everyone I know is dying from disease
Everything I love, everything I hate
Nothing really matters, nothing can escape
Toxic Narcotic's song, We, has a pessimistic and nihilistic view of the world. The lyrics express a sense of hopelessness that is earned through the destruction of the planet and humankind. The first verse suggests that people should embrace the inevitable end by indulging in self-destructive behavior like drinking alcohol. The second verse condemns religion and spirituality, saying that they are incapable of saving the world due to the countless atrocities endured. The chorus repeats the idea that the end is coming and that nothing can escape this fate.
The song speaks to people who feel disillusioned with the world and are tired of hearing someone tell them to stay optimistic. It highlights the negative forces that exist all around us, such as war, pollution, and disease. The line "either way we're born to lose" suggests that we do not have control over our fate and that there is nothing we can do to prevent destruction. The tone of the lyrics is aggressive and angry, with curse words and insults directed towards those who have a positive outlook.
In conclusion, Toxic Narcotic's song, We, is a bleak commentary on the state of the world. It expresses a strong sense of hopelessness and despair, urging people to accept their doom by embracing self-destructive behaviors.
