@AbyssalReClass man I remember the days when poison bug and ghost for some reason all registered as super effective against one another. Beedrill is king.

@fluffy yeah, Jolteon did have Pin Missile in RBY. There were literally only four Bug moves in RBY 😳 with Twineedle being exclusive to Beedrill, String Shot being status move, and Leech Life being a weak, discount Bug version of Mega Drain.

@AbyssalReClass Was Ghost really that OP in RBY? There was literally one Ghost line in RBY (Gastly). Then GSC added one (Misdreavus) and RSE added two (Shuppet, Duskull lines). Banette was literally the only Pokémon who could use a strong STAB attack until Gen IV as Ghost was strictly physical until the physical/special spli. Gengar has been top of the metagame (OU for six generations) but that's the only one I can think of, and in RBY it was weak to EQ due to no abilities.

you forget that jolteon learned a bug move, they had shit for def so it could actually take a move and due to being faster also do quite a bit of damage.

i think it was pin missile but don't quote me on that

psychics were too much op there was only two ways to fight them
have another two type psychic and counter the shit out of enemy with secondary type attacks or have normal type tank who is not affected that much with fucking psychic attack, one more way was to toxic and wrap the shit out of them with victreebel if its speed was high enough and witstand firs attack
all bugs pokemons were shit and their attacks were shit too

First time I ever played I was really little and loved my charmander so much I refused to catch any other pokemon... then I got to Misty xD I had to evolve it to a charizard before I could beat her.... so much level grinding lol. But all for the love of my charmander <3
