Biography:
From the opening line of their latest release (“Breaking Silence”) TRACENINE go straight for the throat and immediately command the respect and attention of listeners. By fusing real world events with captivating melody and justifiable anger, T9 detonates an unparalleled sound with mass appeal. They’ve scored nominations for best live and metal band, won $10,000 as Paragon Band Battle Champions, showcased at Canadian Music Week and were Rock Search finalists in the same competition that helped launch the career of Finger Eleven. Renowned for delivering powerful live performances, T9 has entertained countless sold out crowds in support of bands like Hedley, State Of Shock, Matthew Good, Nazareth, Social Code, Bif Naked, The Salads, Faber Drive and Meredith Brooks. Like many great bands that have come before them, TRACENINE has experienced first hand the multiple levels of corruption which exist in the industry today. As James Hetfield so eloquently put “when it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel is just a freight train coming your way” is an all too familiar feeling that the band has faced time and time again. The last big heartbreak came as recent as January 2008 when a recording agreement with an independent label out of LA, worth over $1.2 million dollars, turned out to be fraudulent. After many broken promises and missed deadlines the band licked their wounds and set fire to the contract. Not ones to dwell on the negative, T9 took fate into their own hands and created a label, publishing and management company called Armed Music Inc. in silent partnership with a handful of trustworthy industry reps. The members of TRACENINE share a sincere passion for life, music and justice. From day one they made a pact to check their ego’s at the door and focus on what was best for the band. The end result is an extraordinary synergy which cannot be denied. Without question ‘09 is the year of T9!
Let me go
Tracenine Lyrics

Everything you'd said & done
I believed you when you said I
Was the one
But I'm sick of your lies
You're dead in my eyes
[Chorus:]
So let me go cause
You're dead to me [x2]
I hate that I want you,
I love you no more
Let me go [x3]
You keep on coming
But you canвt take nothing from me
Temptation and frustration
Can make a sinner out of saints
And faith, hope & love
These things I hold above
Anything or anyone
[2nd Pre-Chorus]
I should be hating you
For what you put me through
What's done is done
I'm moving onҐ
[Chorus:]
[Solo]
[Chorus:]
The lyrics of Tracenine's song Let Me Go express the emotions of someone who has been hurt and let down by a person they once trusted. The song explores the theme of betrayal by a loved one, and the struggle to let go of such a toxic relationship. The writer acknowledges that they fell for their partner's manipulation initially and believed that they were the one, but they have now realized that they were being lied to. The chorus establishes the distance the author has put between themselves and their former partner, as they are now numb to their manipulation and have moved on.
The second pre-chorus reveals a shift in power dynamic in the relationship, where the writer once was vulnerable to the whims of their former lover, they now no longer feel anything for them. All of the love has turned to hate and the writer is taking back the control that they lost due to the lies they've been told. The use of imagery in the second verse is powerful as the writer recognizes that faith, hope, and love are more important than anything else. Such concepts inspire believers to live in accord with the teachings of their religion and to live a righteous and moral life. However, the singer seems to have lost faith in their partner and their devotion to these concepts has been unrequited. The lyrics capture the pain, frustration, and ultimate freedom that comes with letting go of someone who was poisonous for them.
