stole my heart away
Your love was incredible
Wonderful
Then you began to change
You used to make me feel special
Now all you do is make me cry
I gave you my everything baby
I, I try to be the one for baby, you you
never was into nothin'
what I do, do
That's why I'm leaving
'Cause it's all about you
And not about me
I, I try to be the one for baby, you you
never was into nothin'
what I do, do
That's why I'm leaving
'Cause it's all about you
And not about me
When we get in a fight
I'm always the first to apologize
Even if it was you who did wrong
I never do enough to please you
That's why I can't go on
No matter what I do for you
It's never any good for you
You always got to complain
That's why I got to say
I can't stay
I, I try to be the one for baby, you you
never was into nothin'
what I do, do
That's why I'm leaving
'Cause it's all about you
And not about me
I, I try to be the one for baby, you you
never was into nothin'
what I do, do
That's why I'm leaving
'Cause it's all about you
And not about me
Selfish baby
Anything you want I do
I never understand how you
Could treat me bad and be so cruel
You're begging me to come back to you
Baby I gave you all my love
But what I had was not enough
You turned around & broke my trust
Got the nerve to ask me
What about us?
I, I try to be the one for baby, you you
never was into nothin'
what I do, do
That's why I'm leaving
'Cause it's all about you
And not about me
The lyrics of Tracie Spencer's song "It's All About You" describe a dysfunctional relationship where one partner is self-centered and demanding, while the other is left feeling unappreciated and hurt. The song starts by recalling the early days of the relationship when the love was strong and the feelings were wonderful. However, over time, things have changed, and the partner who used to make the other feel special has become more concerned about their own needs and desires. The singer of the song has given everything to their partner, but in return, they have only received lies and tears.
The chorus of the song emphasizes the one-sided nature of the relationship, with the singer stating that they have tried to be the one for their partner but have never received the same level of commitment in return. They realize that it is all about their partner and not about them, leading to their decision to leave the relationship. The song's bridge highlights the partner's selfishness as they demand everything they want without giving anything in return. The singer acknowledges that they gave their love and trust to their partner, but it was not enough, and they have been left with a broken heart.
Overall, "It's All About You" is a powerful song that explores the painful consequences of a one-sided relationship. It highlights the need for mutual respect, trust, and commitment in any healthy relationship.

This song is sadly underrated. Straight banger
@rudeboy2502
It's hard to comprehend that this is almost 20 years old. This video was ahead of its time, It still has that clean, modern-contemporary feel. It could easily be a music video of today if only it was shot in HD quality.
