I found the answer
I learned to pray
With faith to guide me
I found the way
The sun is shining
For me each day
I found the answerI learned to pray
I was weak and weary
I had gone astray
Walking in the darkness
I could not find the way
Then a light came shining
To lead me from despair
All my sins forgiven
And I was free from care
(Chorus)
Keep your Bible with you
Read it everyday
Always count your blessings
And always stop to pray
Learn to keep believing
And faith
Will see you through
Seek to know contentment
And it will come to you
(Chorus)
Tramaine Hawkinsβs βI Found the Answerβ is an inspiring gospel hymn that highlights the importance of faith, prayer, and the power of believing in God. The song's chorus emphasizes the singer's conviction that she has found the solution to her troubles through prayer and having faith to guide her. The lyrics speak to a universal human longing for spiritual fulfillment and the belief that with hope and prayer, we can overcome our fears and doubts.
The song tells the story of the singer's conversion through the metaphor of light, with the lines "Then a light came shining/To lead me from despair." She acknowledges her past mistakes and the darkness she was once in but proclaims that "all my sins forgiven/And I was free from care.β The song ends with the admonition to keep one's faith, read the Bible, count your blessings, and "Seek to know contentment/And it will come to you."

I found the answer when I learnt to pray in my life and more so some years ago. The Lord lead me to St Luke 18:1-8.
Time can't alter this truth, someone needs to hear this today.
Be blessed.

I remember buying the cassette of these two ladies singing this song...
I had walked thru the door and just started to play this song with my two daughters when my mother called to tell me my cousin had passed away from a boating accident... it hit me hard bc we shared souch not just our age but our teenage secrets as teenage girls often do...we didn't keep in touch as often as before once we married but I loved her and thought the world of her...but listening to this song and crying I knew God had chose to take her that day and in that manner but I knew she was OK that she was with in a better place because she did love the Lord...lived for Jesus...everytime I hear this song I remember....
