While married to Bishop Walter Hawkins, the couple had two children a son, Walter "Jamie" Hawkins, Jr. and a daughter, Trystan Hawkins with one granddaughter, Jahve Hawkins and one grandson, Jamie Daniel Hawkins. Walter "Jamie" Hawkins, Jr. is married to Myiia "Sunny" Davis-Hawkins.
Tramaine has been inducted into the Gospel Hall of Fame. Recently receiving the James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement Award and netting two Stellar Awards for Female Vocalist of the Year and Traditional Female of the Year for her 2007 CD release I Never Lost My Praise (2007). She also sang at James Cleveland's funeral.
Hawkins lives outside of Sacramento, California with her husband, Tommy Richardson, Jr. of fifteen years and has one stepson, Demar Richardson with two step grandchildren.

MAN THE WAY I SHOUTED ON THIS SONG, AT HOME, WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT! I got the DVD and I was in the basement in my apartment and my family lived upstairs. She was good and tired by now, but that ANNOINTING! kept her going! I know she slept like crazy after this night!...when you in the spirit, you can run across mountains, but lawd when that annointing comes down..my word..lol..I thoroughly enjoyed every song on this album back then,, and 2021 still...It was so great how her and Walters relationship remained as friends even after the marriage. This concert was just months after walter did Love ALive 4 and she was there. What a fellowship, what a blessedness!

Seen this concert in Philadelphia at the Academy of music and she was Awesome. A true Professional in a ever way. The back up singers😮 wow!They were no joke, those backup singers were no laughing matter! Miss Hawkins was again absolutely Awesome. Great concert!
