The band has performed at many national festivals including Coachella, Stagecoach, Summerfest, Bumbershoot, and Pickathon. In 2011, they performed at several large folk festivals such as Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Newport Folk Festival and 2011 ROMP roots and branches. They are scheduled to play the Sasquatch Festival, Bonnaroo, All Good Music Festival, Newport Folk Festival, and Lollapalooza in 2012.
2014 saw the release of Trampled by Turtles's seventh studio album, Wild Animals, on July 15th. The band tapped Alan Sparhawk, from the band Low, to produce Wild Animals. Sparhawk's influence is evident in the band's seemingly more alternative, high lonesome sound. The night of Wild Animals' release, TBT made their second appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman. On August 16th, Trampled by Turtles headlined a sold out show at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO.

Sorry
Trampled By Turtles Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I figured you would know all this by now
But I still think that I should say it
There’s more to life than dying early
It’s new to me so bear with me a while
And I promise that I’ll do better
Let me down easy
Won’t you?
And you’ll be sorry
And I’ll be sorry back
I never meant to hurt you darlin’
Looks that you’ll be holding too
I won’t be there when you’re calling
There’s more to life than broken windows
I know people that are just like you
And I promise that I’ll do better
When you leave me
Let me down easy
Won’t you?
And you’ll be sorry
And I’ll be sorry back
The lyrics of "Sorry" by Trampled by Turtles are a sincere apology from the singer to his significant other for causing them pain. From the first line, "I never meant to hurt you darlin'," it is clear that the singer regrets his actions and feels remorse for the pain they have caused.
