Yeah, see just like in the Jurassic Park monologue about how a T Rex's eyes work on movement our eyes also work in the same way, that is why close up magic works. I know this because I am an exponent of close up card magic & the theory, relevant to this discussion, goes.., you cover a small move with a larger movement. There is a little more to it than just that but we magicians don't reveal all our tricks do we... I can say however that I do a 3 part routine in which there is a small set up beforehand & the routine takes about 25 minutes to preform so 25 minutes ahead of time, at least, I am ahead of the audience. The set up makes the ending of part 3 seem mind blowing to the point of "burn the witch" which was exactly the intention. I also leave a long gap of 5+ minutes between having done the sleight & sneaky bit for part 1 & revealing it because that causes the spectator to ignore what otherwise might rouse their suspicion. Time lapse however causes everybody to have long ago forgotten what maybe a bit sus so that the first reveal has a big impact too. 😃😁😉

His sleight of hand is amazing though. Super jealous of how fluid his palming is as well, looks incredibly natural and the transitions are sooooo smooth. I did spot the double chip trick, but even on rewind I couldn't catch the first switch. It wasn't until the second switch I realised there were two chips: 5:45 takes out second chip, 5:52 places second chip on shoulder while Joe still has chip #1 in hand, at 5:52 can clearly see there are two chips: one on his shoulder and one in hand. Still very impressed by the first sleight of hand, insanely well executed. Oh, shirt switch was done when he handed the phone over when walking back to the stage. Every pause and movement is deliberate, though we sum it up to being human (taking pauses etc) but it's actually all intentional. Honestly, an amazing act. Much respect for this guy! And once again; amazing sleight of hand. This guy needs to go on Penn and Teller.

If you look closely, at 5:44, he puts his hand in his pocket to get a second chip. Which he then uses to place on the volunteer’s shoulder, he then conceals the first chip within his hand using “sleight of hand”. Without a second chip, it would be impossible to put it on the volunteer’s shoulder since his left hand(the hand with the chip) never makes contact with his right hand(the hand he uses to put the chips on the shoulder.

what he does is, takes the first chip and slyly places it into the other hand and touches the shoulder then places the first hand back into his palm and acts as if he is putting the chip in it. I went to high school with him. I didn't know him, but I knew who he was because he was always in the hall between classes doing juggling or card tricks or some other little magic tricks. He was Paul Robbins back then. Kinda cool .

went traveling with my mom. we were at the train terminal and had huge bags. Anyways I backed us up to a wall so we only had 3 ways to worry about. And I asked my mom to trust me and leave everything with me. She did and went up to get the train tickets. I watched some of the faces walking by and low and behold I spotted 4 people working together doing im sure pickpocketting. They looked confused realizing my mother and I were splitting up as well as that she had no bags. I just smiled at them when they looked my way. They kept trying to talk to me and offer me help etc. later they went to talk to a guy who looked up at me in an angry way. he had 2 kids go try and talk to me.
it was a whole thing but in the end they didn't end up taking anything. The train conductor ended up smiling at me when he realized I was keeping an eye out for the people pick pocketing. Man the tourists loved their help not realizing what was going on. meh. you can make a good living off it

RenDi Supertramp im naturally suspicious as a person so when someone says look at this trick. It will almost always be sleight of hand. You keep an eye on those and watch enough penn and teller and u cant be fooled by these

Starts the change at about 4:36 on his way back to the stage. By 4:50 he has a different shirt on. And just to make sure his guest doesn't notice, he deliberately asks him to say what he has in his pockets while he runs up the stage steps. Brilliant misdirection that fooled me at least. I just had to scroll back and find out where it happened!
