Hanging on a cigarette butt
Scrambling a little bit
Afraid of the sound
This always
Happens
When you take a chance
So stay still
You always have to wait
For things to change
They always hold you back
And that’s not fair
You never get to play
The role you dreamed of for yourself
And now it’s
Time to give up
Everything’s the same
Staring down a decade now
And waiting for a sign
So ruthlessly nervous
And desperate for ground
Don’t Wait
This chance
Might not come again
So jump in
And don’t don’t let it slip away
You don’t have to wait
For things to change
You can take control
Of this whole mess
You can be whomever you desire
Now and know
That it’s never too late
Everything can the change
And if I’ve learned anything at all
It’s that we’re all lost, it’s that we’re always lost
If I've learned anything at all
It's that we're all lost, we're almost always lost
We are the lost
Don't Wait
Don't Wait
Don't Wait
The song "Don" by Transit talks about taking chances in life and not being afraid to fail. It speaks about the struggles of waiting for things to change and the fear of the unknown, but also realizing that life is short and opportunities might not come around again. The song starts with the singer sitting in a parking lot and feeling nervous, smoking a cigarette and afraid of taking risks. They feel like taking chances always leads to disappointment and decide to stay still and not take any risks.
The second verse talks about staring down a decade, feeling lost and waiting for a sign to take action. The singer is ruthlessly nervous and desperate for a sense of control. The chorus repeats the phrase "Don't Wait" and encourages the listener to jump in and take control of their life, to be whoever they want to be and not wait for things to change.
The song ends with the repetition of the line "We are the lost," emphasizing the idea that everyone feels lost and uncertain at times in life, but it's important to not let that fear hold us back.

I don't know why everyone was all down on this album. Yes the vocals are a little shady in some spots, but listening all the way through it's the same Transit we all know and love. I love it.
